Robert has over twenty-five years of tax and tax legal consulting experience, including practice both in public accounting and in private industry.

At Scott Jeffrey he has advised clients on a variety of business issues such as profit recovery, internal control compliance and evaluation, cost segregation analysis, and strategic business management.  Mr. Crookshank has been associated with SJ&A since its founding.

Mr. Crookshank is also a principal at New Valley Forge Partners, LLC, a consulting firm that advises candidates for elective office and officeholders on campaign strategy and public policy matters and provides other support services.

During his practice in industry, he accumulated extensive experience in all phases of corporate tax compliance and planning matters, including federal, state and local tax compliance management; legal and technical evaluation of tax planning and cash flow improvement strategies; negotiation, analysis and implementation of inter-corporate tax sharing arrangements; executive compensation and perquisite issues; financial workout planning for troubled businesses, debt swaps and collars, due diligence for acquisitions, dispositions, corporate reorganizations and financing transactions; organizational design; analysis of creditors' and debtors' rights in bankruptcy; tax audit defense; sales & use taxes; international tax and business planning; U.S. and foreign joint venture structuring; inter-subsidiary financing and royalty arrangements; asset cost recovery projections and analysis; and limited liability company structures.

Mr. Crookshank holds MBA and JD degrees from the University of Texas at Austin. He is licensed to practice law in the State of Texas and is a Certified Public Accountant.
